Tim Hassiotis
Superintendent NDH,
Fire and Rescue NSW
My name is Tim Hassiotis and I am a firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW. My current position is Superintendent Natural Disaster and Humanitarian (NDH). My career with FRNSW spans over two decades with a wide range of experience in all aspects of preparedness, response at emergency incidents, recovery, and emergency management. The NDH portfolio is responsible for state based major structural collapse and response to international sudden onset disaster under the umbrella of the United Nations. In 2023 I deployed to Türkiye as part of Australia’s urban search and rescue team. I have an amazing wife and two children who never cease to surprise me with their antics. I am passionate about humanitarian affairs and the environment. I enjoy good food and as a consequence exercise including ocean swimming so I can continue to indulge in culinary treats.
