Sarah Russell is the founder and lead of Bellwether, an early-stage project at X.  Her career has traversed many paths, from healthcare delivery to climate risk, from clinical applications to machine-learning driven products, but entrepreneurship is the common thread.  Leading teams move from idea to product-market fit is where she focuses her efforts at X, with particular attention to the customer's experience and perception of value.  At Bellwether, the team uses AI to unlock the value of complex geospatial data to help the private and public sector better price and understand risk to infrastructure. Prior to X, she was an EIR at Venrock, a Chief Medical Informatics Officer in the VA system, and a start-up founder.  She trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and today practices in the Stanford Urgent Care division.  She attended Wharton Business School, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard College.  She lives in Menlo Park, California with her family.
