Duncan Tippins
Meteorology Director,
Weatherzone Business, a DTN Company
For over two decades, Duncan has dedicated himself to the fields of meteorology and oceanography, serving both the public (civilian and as a reservist in the Royal Australian Navy) and private sectors.
As Director of Meteorology at Weatherzone, Duncan specialises in meteorological leadership and risk communication. Previously he was the Acting Principal for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology’s training centre, and manager of their Forecaster Development Team. He develops cohesive and capable teams, whilst deepening each team member’s skill set and supporting their capacity to innovate.
Focused on collaboration, he works across functional areas to deliver world-class solutions to customers. Leveraging his experience in operational meteorology, he leads the execution of projects that deliver the strategic objective to better communicate operational risk to business customers.
